Restore or create your wallet

The wallet is where your $MESHR points land and what your nodes get tied to. If you had one before, on this phone or another, bring it back first: a new wallet is a new identity, and nothing from the old one follows you to it.

Two things to know before either flow

$MESHR are game points on a test network. They have no monetary value, cannot be bought, sold or exchanged, and are not an investment or a promise of one. There is no sale, no presale and no price, and anyone offering to sell you $MESHR is defrauding you. The $MESHR page says all of this at full length, and the rewards page says how the points that land in this wallet are worked out.
Your recovery phrase is the whole account. There is no username, no password and no account held for you anywhere. Whoever has the phrase has the wallet; lose it and the wallet is gone, and nobody at MapMinter can bring it back or will ever ask you for it.

Already have a wallet? Restore it

You need the recovery phrase you wrote down when the wallet was created: 12 or 24 English words, in their original order.

Open the Wallet tab and tap Import a wallet
On a phone with no wallet yet, the Wallet tab offers two choices. Take the second one, Import a wallet.

No wallet yet: create, or bring back the one you have.
Type your recovery phrase and tap Check phrase
Enter the 12 or 24 words with a single space between them, then tap Check phrase. Nothing is saved at this point: if a word is wrong or out of order, the app says so and you simply fix it.

The phrase is checked before anything is stored.
Confirm the address and tap Import this wallet
The app shows the address this phrase belongs to, under This phrase belongs to the address. If it is the address you expect, tap Import this wallet. Your wallet is back, along with everything tied to it: bound nodes and the points they have earned.

Check the address, then make it yours again.

First wallet? Create one

Creating a wallet takes seconds; keeping its phrase safe is the part that matters. Have a pen and paper ready before you start, and do this somewhere nobody is looking over your shoulder.

Open the Wallet tab and tap Create wallet
The key is generated on your phone and stays there. Nothing is sent anywhere, and no registration happens.

One tap, and the key exists only on your phone.
Write the recovery phrase down, on paper
The app now shows Your recovery phrase: numbered words, in order. This is the one automatic showing it will ever get. Copy the words onto paper exactly, numbers and all, and keep the paper offline. Anyone who sees these words can take the wallet; never photograph them, never type them into a website, never share them with anyone. There is a copy button, but the app itself warns you that the clipboard can be read by other apps. Paper is better.

Confirm you saved it
Tick I have written down my recovery phrase and stored it offline. and tap I have saved it. The button stays off until you tick the box, and that is deliberate: the app has no way to check your paper, so the tick is your word.

The Wallet tab now shows your address, with a copy button under it. If you ever need to see the phrase again, it is behind Show recovery phrase in the Manage section, after a warning to make sure nobody is watching.
